Barefoot Wine UK Open Championship - Saturday June 14th 2008

The 2008 UK Open took place on Saturday 14th June at Yellowave in Brighton in glorious sunshine. Sponsored by Barefoot Wine, the UK's top teams took to the sand to battle it out and try to take the honours form the defending champions Luigui & Dirceu.

The crowds packed out the venue and were treated to top-class action throughout the day. With free foot massages & Barefoot wine, music from Brighton's samba troupe Estrondo and action packed footvolley, a great day was enjoyed by everyone.

England No. 1 pair David & Gary won a very close semi-final against Brazilian pair Andre & Vinny to win a place in the final. They streaked to an early lead in the first game before defending champions Luigui & Dirceu found their game, caught level and then pushed on to win that game and the next. So with 3 UK titles back to back, Luigui & Dirceu are very much the men to beat.
