European Footvolley League, Velsmeer, Holland. 4-5 September 2004

The final event of this year's European Footvolley League took place at The Beach Sports Centre in the town of Velsmeer, Holland. This indoor centre boasts excellent facilities including six beach volleyball or footvolley courts and a climbing wall.

Teams from Holland, Germany, France, Italy, Austria and England made up the numbers, with a slight change to the usual format with two groups of six teams in the groups stages. Demonstration games were played by Marcelo and Odilon from Natal, Brazil (Hollands official coahces) and some players from Feyenoord Football 1st XI.

In the final Phillipe Enea and Patrick Ortega narrowly beat Jan and Erik from Holland to take the Dutch as well as the overall European title. England won a special prize to take a team over to train at The Beach Sports Centre in the winter.

Special thanks go to the organizers Guido Albers and his team as well as the sponsors.
