Footvolley Demonstration Event, South Shields Beach,

Saturday 11th June

The UK Footvolley Association travelled up to South Shields beach near Newcastle for a demonstration event in preparation of the launch of our footvolley school there. With a fantastic beach with soft sand, South Shields was the perfect setting for footvolley, a touch of Rio in the North-East!

The day kicked off with a match between England and Brazil, followed by open sessions for the public. There was a big turnout and lots of people had a go, including many kids from local football schools and academies. Even from the younger ones, there was some promising footvolley stars of the future!

With the support of Metro Radio and the local press, the event was a great success. With approval from the local council, we will be launching a weekly footvolley school in South Shields soon. Watch this space...
